Healthcare Business Analyst
Day to Day duties: The Business Analyst is a subject matter expert that understands interface messaging, specifically HL7 and XML, and the use of those messages in solving business requirements. Primary responsibility is the delivery of clear and complete requirements/specifications. The individual will need to analyze government requirements for integration requirements under the various meaningful use initiatives. Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications. Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business, systems, or application issues. Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. Experience: 6+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology. Significant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems and applications. Significant experience in HL7 messaging, business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems. Thorough knowledge of HL7 and XML. Previous experience with technical writing a plus. Candidates with experience in more than one of the above areas will be given much higher consideration.
