A Data Architect is required on a 3 month contract (likely to be extended) based near Southampton, Hampshire. For this role the successful Data Architect will be required to work alongside development/project teams on a number of projects to ensure quality systems are delivered on time and within budget. You will also be required to develop and maintain existing data architecture, as well as insuring data architecture policies are being adhered to. For this role you will need previous experience as a Data Architect with full knowledge of the IT Project Lifecycle. You will need technical skills of at least two of the following: *Conceptual and logical data design and modelling *Data Mapping *Physical database design such as Oracle/MySQL/Data Warehousing *Metadata registry *Data Dictionaries *XML *Messaging & Enterprise Service Bus technologies *Java based solutions & an awareness of associated technologies & libraries. *Experiencing of using tools to support SDLC such as CVS and SVN *Unix operating system, preferably Red Hat Linux *Ability to capture and document data sources, interfaces, movement (through the enterprise) and define integrative views Any experience with open standards Architecture, agile methodologies, test-first development, UML and Spring would also be highly beneficial for this position. This role is to start ASAP and will pay upwards of �450-500 per day (ltd/umbrella) dependant on experience.
