Our client is seeking a senior SQL Server 2008 Database Engineer to develop and support web-based applications as a member of a growing team using Agile Methodologies and tools. Technology Used: .NET and SQL Server 2008, SSIS and SSRS; code sample may be requested as part of the interview process. Responsibilities Include: * Participate in porting a complex, multi-user system from an Oracle environment to SQL Server * Modify existing or write new program code of moderate to high complexity and scope * Work cooperatively with other team members in an Agile / Scrum Environment Specific Requirements: * A BA or BS Degree is required * Minimum ten years of SQL Server 2008 T-SQL Database development experience * Strong stored procedure, view, and trigger experience * Strong SSIS, ETL, and SSRS experience * Solid understanding of database design and data modeling * Experience optimizing databases and stored procedures and tuning performance * Experience developing multi-user web applications as part of a development team * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Development experience in .NET C# is a plus * Oracle and PL/SQL experience is a plus * Strong work ethic and ability to work under extremely tight timeframes with limited supervision * Excellent written and verbal English language skills
