My client is looking for a Software Configuration Management Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. You will be part of the Project Delivery Team focussed on following the software configuration management policy, carrying out Branching, Merging, and resolving code conflicts and creating Deploy requests for all projects under development. The successful candidate will also be expected to help design the SCM process going forward, looking at how to improve the build management process, with the use of industry standard tool sets. Key Role Responsibilities Ensure that all SCM activities follow The SCM policy Ensure that all SCM activities are Auditable at each stage, including PCI compliance Create Development Branches for any new projects (Including Business As Usual changes) Carryout Merge activities of projects progressing through the SDLC Identify and Manage code conflicts that are found during the merge process, liaising with Project Developers directly in order to achieve a resolution Create Deploy requests that include all components that require deployment into Test/UAT and Production environments, in accordance with SCM policy templates You will need to have: Experience in Java Strong background in an agile methodology Strong Subversion/CVS knowledge Strong knowledge and experience of using UNIX Shell scripts (KORN Shell Scripts) Strong experience of using ANT and MAVEN Strong background of Tagging and Versioning of multiple CI?s Working experience of using BAMBOO for automated builds Experience and understanding of building web based applications Working experience of WEB LOGIC 10.3 management and deployment PC literate with a good understanding of Windows and Office programs, especially MS Excel and MS Word Ability to question and obtain answers where code conflicts arise in order to resolve conflict issues Takes ownership and responsibility An eye for detail and quality Location: - Gatwick Rate: - �300 per day Please send your details through to aimee.jones@clearwaterps.com for more info
