Contractor Software Developer - ASP.net , AJAX , Visual Studio Location - Bath , Somerset A Contract Software Developer opportunity has opened for someone available at short notice for a 6 month contract - working for this leading independent centre of engineering design, design support and technical services for defence customers; you will join the software development team , designing and developing web based applications for a range of customers. Commutable Locations - Bath , Bristol , Avon , Somerset , Wiltshire Software Developer Key Responsibilities : • Developing software applications - predominantly web-based software, although you will also assist with expanding the range of services to include mobile apps and Augmented Reality solutions • Designing, developing and delivering class-leading web-based and mobile-based applications using the most appropriate technology, including iOS and Android • Maintain and support existing software applications for Defence and Commercial organisations and carry out research and development tasks, to be considered for future products, in areas such as mobile development, 3d environments and augmented reality. Software Developer Skills and Experience : • Commercial experience in a Software Design / Developer position • Proven expertise in most of : ASP.net , C# , SQL Server , AJAX , JavaScript , Visual Studio 2010 • Experience in producing mobile applications for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices (Desirable) • The ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in Entity Framework, ASP.NET MVC, HTML 5, LESS, SASS, Compass Please note this is a company that provides services / solutions to the defence industry and therefore we can only send CVs of candidates who are able to easily gain security clearance .
