Our client, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Legal Secretary to perform the following duties: Performs diverse administrative support functions Responsible for day-to-day heavy confidential document production; includes working in multiple data bases to gather sensitive information Reports to a Manager Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent). 2-5 years experience in the legal field - Litigation and Mortgage. The environment is dynamic with tight deadlines often supporting litigation. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook calendaring, Intermediate Excel, PDF Professional. High degree of both verbal and written communication proficiency (in -person, phone, email, and instant messaging) Must use considerable tact, diplomacy, judgment, and must be flexible/adaptable Ability to be a team player as well as work independently with minimal supervision, must maintain professional demeanor Effectively Communicate Demonstrated proficiency in business-related softwares (i.e. Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Highly organized and strong attention to detail. Records Management proficiency and organization. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables within deadline constraints. Experience in Litigation and Mortgage Project Management a plus. All candidates must be articulate and polished Experience with calendar maintenance, and managing email Good computer skills to pull documents, edit and update Must be able to work independently and effectively communicate Must be very organized, detailed and able to prioritize Mortgage and/or litigation experience highly desired Minimum of 2 years admin and legal experience Minimum of 55wpm Testing must be completed and results in comments section: typing, word, excel and PowerPoint References must be completed at time of submission.
