Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Aavalar is hiring a consultant for a project with a client near Paoli PA, to redesign and develop a system that will replace a system that is currently based in part on Oracle Forms. To be successful the consultant who takes on this project will have to know enough about Oracle Form to glean business rules from the current system, which will have to be implemented in the replacement system. Consultant's Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer Work Location: Malvern, PA Is Telecommuting possible? TBD Work environment: Very Nice Suburban Office Campus near Paoli PA. Who does this position will report to?: Senior VP of IT Why is there a need for a consultant/contractor? > Legacy system is being modernized. Heavy PL/SQL Development will be required to replace existing Forms based system. What is the start date of the contract?: ASAP What is the anticipated length/scope of the contract?: Long Term What is the size of department?: under 12 What projects will the consultant be involved with?: > PL/SQL development including using SQL to generate HTML. > Analysis of existing Oracle Forms based system to discern business rules. > Work with front end developers to build a APEX based web apps. Responsibilities: > Analyze the existing system to capture business rules. > Create a design and present it for review by senior members of technical staff. > Develop and maintain the new generation of our client's software platform in PL/SQL with very little technical direction. Role with the group: Individual Contributor / Database (PL/SQL) Developer Required Skills: > Expert Oracle PL/SQL Development > Solid knowledge of HTML and/or XHTML > Project Management skills. > Ability to juggle multiple mini projects, manage source code, and work independently. > Really perfect communication skills. Desired Skills: > Oracle Forms Development experience > JavaScript Development experience > Knowledge of Oracle Apex, XSLT, XSD, XML and XML DB Selling point of the job: > This is a high visibility, potentially long term project which will provide the opportunity to work with open source web development tools coupled with an enterprise level Oracle database. > It is truly a nice place to work... smart, down-to-earth people who have reasonable expectations and delivery deadlines that actually make sense.
