Qualified Social Worker experienced within Adoption and Fostering required to join an Adoption and Fostering Team on a locum basis in Camden. The post is to specifically undertake Family and Friends Assessments. Min 1 year in adoption or fostering, undertaking Kinship assessments exp of REG 24 REG 26 guardianship. Main Duties and Responsibilities Investigate allegations of neglect, ill treatment or abuse of children, making enquiries and assessments as to the need for services to such children Investigate child protection procedures or an application to court for an order and identify and co-ordinate packages of support to prevent children being received into care where appropriate. Supervise and monitor cases of children with complex needs Work with children who become looked after voluntarily or by court intervention. Ensure timely completion of all reports, statement and legal documents as required in relation to court proceedings Undertake assessments, identify risk, and provide interventions and supervision for children and families. Develop needs led packages of care taking account of available resources and budgets Provide counselling as agreed. Maintain up to date records of visits, interviews and telephone conversations. Complete appropriate forms and documents, reviews and correspondence according to CPA and Council policies and timescales.
