POSITION SUMMARY: Applies leadership and expert technical analysis, design and implementation skills to ensure alignment of Core Insurance technical designs with the Enterprise Architecture. Ensures the commonality of technical components and approaches across all projects in the Core Insurance Program. This position will work closely with other Core Insurance development team leads, the Release Manager, Developers, and the Enterprise Architecture team. This position is considered an advanced level position intended for a professional with 7 or more years of full-time experience directly related to development of enterprise systems. This position will report to the Core Insurance IT Program Manager. High level of integrity, positive attitude, commitment, toughness and people skills. · Ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and develop appropriate recommendations. · Knowledge of Java related technologies such as Java, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, XML, and SQL. · Knowledge of J2EE application servers such as IBM WebSphere and Tomcat. · Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus technologies, such as Oracle Fusion. · Ability to quickly triage technical issues. · Selected candidate must be willing to and have the ability to learn the business at a rapid pace · Ability to provide and validate high level estimates on the overall project · Ability to provide and validate hardware/software requirements for the proposed architecture · Strong knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) concepts and methodologies · Foster teamwork within the Information Technology departments through inter-departmental interactions, inputs and deliverables · Demonstrated ability to translate Information Technology terminology into language and concepts that may be understood by the business community at large · Broad and deep understanding of web service standards and specifications (SOAP/WSDL/WS-*) · Solid understanding of security concerns and considerations for the technical design and deployment of business applications · Solid understanding of scalability and performance considerations for the technical design and deployment of business applications to support significant peak volume of activity MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years in college education and relevant experience · 6 years of previous solution design and build experience in a net centric environment · 5 years of J2EE application development experience · Strong experience with UML tools to produce architecture/design artifacts · Strong experience with producing deployment architectures involving firewalls, load balancers, and other infrastructure components · Experience with multi-tier architectures and complex integrations with both internal and external systems Desired Skills: Java Keywords: Software Application, Java
