Trainee Development Technologist / Graduate Opportunity (2 x roles) Hitchin, Hertfordshire Salary up to 23,000 plus benefits Fixed Term contract for 18 months (with relocation to Turkey for 1 position) The purpose of this role is to develop your knowledge of key ingredients within coatings, seasoning blends, binders and thickeners. This is an initial 18 month development programme where you would then hopefully move into the position of a Development Technologist on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for undertaking NPD projects under the supervision of the Senior Development Team, along with developing a full understanding of our capabilities. You will also be responsible for developing key customer relationships as well as developing products for customers from specific briefs or concept ideas. You will also be expected to undertake other work as required. The successful applicant will have an interest in culinary food development as well as being able to work with all flours and flavourings using appropriate PPE. You must be fluent in English and second central European language would be a great benefit, but it�s not essential (ie Russian, German, French or Arabic) Have a BSC or food related degree or equivalent. You must also be able to travel to customers within the UK and outside the UK. For one of the Trainee positions we have essential requirements to be fluent in Turkish and Russian. As after the initial 18 months contract our client will be transferring this role to Izmir, Turkey and you will be working as a Senior Technologist alongside big customers and managing your own products and technical sales.
