Assistant Finance Manager
Core Responsibilities * Undertake the production and analysis of information for customer groups to enable an improved understanding of the financial implications of the decisions. * Ensure the collection of appropriate data and create, maintain and improve financial models so that effective financial analysis takes place for the customer groups supported, adding commentary to enhance understanding as appropriate. * Contribute to the preparation and analysis of information for the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process, compiling reports and cost information to ensure customer groups are aware of their performance and any variance from agreed targets. * Ensure the preparation of information for and collate process outputs from finance units, for onward delivery to internal customer groups as appropriate. * Liaise with service providers concerning enhancements to computer systems and assist with user testing and implementation, ensuring changes are made to improve operational efficiency and to reflect future business requirements. * Identify, recommend and implement agreed changes to financial processes to reflect business needs and operational requirements, communicating these across assigned area(s) of responsibility where appropriate. * Contribute to project initiatives, taking responsibility for the development and implementation of specific deliverables and ensuring these are achieved within the required time, cost and quality parameters. * Manage, motivate, develop and appraise team members as required, so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business.
