Finance Manager (Accounts Payable)
Job Title: Finance Manager (Accounts Payable) Salary: £40,000 + Bonus and Benefits Reporting to: CFO Location: London Job type: 6 Months Our client is internationally known Bank organisation looking to grow their company and are looking for a Finance Manager (Accounts Payable). The position will be responsible for all financial requirements of the Bank. This will include, but not be limited to analysis, interpretation of accounting standards, MIS, Management accounting, preparation and filing of VAT return, corporation tax and Special Projects. The responsibilities will include preparation and analysis of P&L of the Bank on a monthly basis., p reparation and analysis of Balance sheet of the bank on a monthly basis, liaising with various teams in the Bank for completion of monthly activities, liaising with internal and external vendors and ensure timely completion of Audit, filing of yearly and quarterly VAT returns, filing of yearly corporation returns, interpretation of various accounting standards like IFRS, GAAP and UK GAAP and any new developments in the accounting standards, capitalization of the fixed assets in the system as per the policy of the bank and ensuring fixed assets reconciliation, projects assigned by Supervisor/CFO on a time to time basis, liaising and providing information when required to the Parent Bank, preparation and submission of various MIS for the bank ( Including parent bank) and to manage accounts payable department which includes posting and paying vendors invoices, coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and monitoring A/P ageing and system discrepancies. Responsibilities include monthly vendors reporting, assistance in daily Bank reconciliation, vendor’s management and ensuring timely payments to vendors and employees through the system. Lastly you will be responsible for handling queries of vendors and employees at scheduled times and also taking care of vendors relationships. Duties include verifying and posting transactions to journals, ledgers and other records; preparing statements, invoices and vouchers and handle balancing and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have advanced financial modeling skills, including ability of developing macros, excellent ability of multi-tasking and working on a variety of projects at the same time, good knowledge of banking products, services, policies and procedures, excellent team orientation and strong communication skills, a positive attitude towards work and other team members, the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and prompt and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers.
