Retail background Oracle DBA with specific RMS (Retail Merchandising System), JDA, and sales audit experience. Manages and maintains all production and non-production Oracle databases. Responsible for standards, design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery, configures database parameters and prototype designs against logical data models, and defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. Working with application owners to resolve issues - Creates and maintains documentation for environment - Participates in the 24/7 on call rotation Requirements: Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor in related field or equivalent experience Experience managing databases in Retail Industry Familiarity with Retail Merchandising System, Allocation System and Sales Audit is required Relative certifications are plus, such as Oracle OCA, OCP, OCM Independent knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g/11g Demonstrate ability to develop and execute strategies for various database technologies Experienced with AIX, data warehousing, storage and Oracle application stack Demonstrate ability the create shell scripts for task automation Experience with mid to large size organization Highly organized and results driven Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule Minimum of 5 years of Database Administration experience Duties: Review current RMS environment. Review RMS batch processing Review archiving and purging needs and make necessary recommendation. Investigate slow RMS response (Oracle forms - user interface and queries). Review space allocation and recommend changes including future growth. Research, recommend, review and apply patches to Oracle application technology stack. Review Oracle Grid alerts and resolve related issues. Document RMS information (configuration, parameters, batch processing, etc). Apply Now
