Job Description: The data loss prevention analyst will be responsible for monitoring email security standards. They will work closely with the IT security team to understand government mandated security standards as well as their policies in orde to ensure that end users are following guidelines. They will be responsible for using the Vontu platform to track tickets and resolve issues with end users who break policies by sending emails that break security policies. They currently utilize Lotus Notes as their email system. The analyst will need to understand basic IT principles and assess emails for individuals that send zip files, source code, amongst other proprietary information. In the event an end user is found in violation, the analyst will contact the appropriate party to resolve the issue. Depending on the severity, this could involve calling the end user directly or escalating the issue to a manager or the legal department.
