Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for an IT Project Manager (PM) to join our client in Charlotte, NC. Job Overview: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide project leadership for the consolidation and testing effort for their Mobile Work Management System (Ventyx). Job Responsibilities: - Project planning activities to include: documenting scope, developing a detailed project budget and schedule, and defining required project resources. - Manage the project work plan to ensure that defined project milestones are achieved and tasks are completed as planned. - Identify and implement methods to improve the project. - Ensure all project measures of success are achieved. - Analyze and control proposed changes to the project plan or cost estimate; execute appropriate Change Control processes as necessary. - Anticipate, document, and monitor project issues and risks. - Manage project financials to include tracking actuals and forecasting remaining spend on a monthly basis. - Ensure development and maintenance of appropriate project documentation and records of assumptions, important events, decisions, actions, or problems. - Bi-Weekly status reporting to the IT PMO (Project Management Office). - Manage sponsor expectations and ensures that project requirements are documented and achieved; maintain status updates to project sponsors as defined by current team practices. - Manage a team of matrixed resources across IT (Information Technology) and business support groups. Job Qualifications: - Four year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. - Eight or more years of experience showing a demonstrated competency in delivering efficient and effective solutions. - Eight plus years Project Management, Utility or Work management system experience. If neither of these then must have PM experience with complex applications with mobile interfaces (not phone). - PMP certification (Project Management Professional) is strongly preferred.
