A reputable international mining company is seeking a Operations Manager to step in and lead a team of 13+ mining professionals at a large Open cut metalliferous mine in QLD. This role will be a real stand-out in any career-driven mining professionals' Resume. In this key leadership role you will oversee Mining Engineers, Mine Planning, Geology, Survey, and Geotechnical departments. In this role you will be working a FIFO 8/6 roster from Brisbane or Townsville, FIFO outside these location will be considered. In this role you will be responsible for; Ensuring optimal production targets are achieved Maintaining a focus on health and safety, environmental protection and profit Identifying and implementing operational improvement strategies Resolving technical issues To be successful in this role you must be Degree qualified and have 2+ years experience in a senior role within a Technical Services Department for an Open pit metalliferous operation. Be familiar with Australian Standards of Mining and possess strong leadership skills. Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $230k -$250k + benefits.
