These C#/VB.Net Developers should be experienced in server product development These engineers will design and develop .Net components in our Service Federation. The software engineers will develop primarily on the .NET platform, with SQL Server as our backend data store and use a variety of transport / wire protocols to integrate capabilities within our SOA based topology and across to customers ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design and develop portal and services on .NET platform within Service Orientation Architecture (SOA)-based environment using SQL Server as backend data store Use and apply C#/VB.NET, andVB6/Visual Basic and OOD principles Accomplish performance optimization in a product environment and refactoring Work with design patterns and communication protocols, including web services, MQ Series, and MSMQ Complete technical tasks related to feature development and bug fixes Perform enterprise server development in a distributed computing environment, including database design and development Use transport and application protocols to integrate capabilities within the underlying technical environment and across client systems Facilitate web client programming using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML/XSLT Demonstrate functional comprehension of software design principles, including coupling/cohesion, decomposition/modularity, encapsulation/information hiding, and separation of interface and implementation Review information and processes to identify discord between client requirements and current output, entailing ascertainment of client needs, problems, and expectations from a technical perspective Establish and execute sound, technical courses of action to accommodate client needs and expectations and overcome problems Assist the QA team with troubleshooting and repairing defects Adhere to and apply overarching internal practices and policies with respect to coding standards, unit testing, scrum, and status reports REQUIREMENTS: BS or MS in Computer Science or Degree in a similar field 3+ years of experience in server product development Working experience in C#/VB.NET, VB6, SQL Server, and XML/XSLT Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design and related areas Fundamental understanding of communication protocols such as COM+, Web Services, MQ Series,and MSMQ Prior working experience with at least one OO language (.NET, Java, C++) QUALIFICATIONS: Passion for and self-motivated interest in Software Development as a profession, not just a job Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Must be proactive, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to work well under pressure Background Checks required Preferred skills: AGILE.
