Please find the job details below Position: UE (User Experience) design / web developer Location: Irving, TX ( LOCALS ONLY) Duration: 6 months (likely extension) Required Experience: At least 5 - 7 years of UE design experience; Excellent communication and organization skills - must be able to function as a thought leader as well as an individual contributor; Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS; Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based social applications; Proficiency with design and prototyping tools; Ability to think creatively to develop out-of-the-box solutions that make the user experience as simple as possible; Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; excellent presentation skills. Description: The User Experience Designer is responsible for creating meaningful interactive web and mobile experiences for the company’s customers and internal users. Working closely with Product Managers, Functional Experts, Business Users and Engineers, you’ll be tasked with contributing to the design of all aspects of the user experience. By understanding and researching business requirements, user needs and competitive landscape, you’ll drive persona and scenario development that will result in conceptual concepts, annotated wireframes, interactive models, prototypes and functional specifications. You should feel comfortable presenting your ideas to Senior Management for review, Engineering for implementation and other business units as necessary. Responsibilities: Be the advocate for fantastic user experiences that make the company’s websites, mobile apps, and other applications feel simple and intuitive; Work closely with stakeholders to uncover business needs, develop design strategies, present interactive models, and build consensus; Conceptualize and design user interfaces and information architecture using participatory design; Produce personas, scenarios, process flows, annotated wireframes, design prototypes, and functional design specifications for complex transactional web applications and portals, mobile apps, and other solutions Work closely with development teams to QA development and implementation Proactively pursue opportunities to improve the strategy to better address business and user objectives; Set up and conduct user research; Collaborate with all project team members (Stakeholders, Product Managers, Development, and Marketing) to ensure the development of a consistent and effective user experience. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of current Internet technologies and industry trends with an emphasis on web 2.0 and social networking Analyzes web traffic data to understand customers’ patterns and trends and assessing ongoing usability and performance. Has strong knowledge of information design principles and well developed skills in creating and documenting all aspects of business requirements, interface design (wire framing, story boarding, rough layouts, mock-ups, interface elements and icons), functional specifications (technical writing and annotations), user needs (flow charts, scenarios and prototype testing) and information architecture (site maps and navigation) are critical.
