Experis IT Recruiting is seeking an Information Security Consultant for a 9+ month assignment in Indianapolis IN. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Create a Multiyear IT Security Strategic roadmap to re-visit the customer roadmap and strategic plan and ensure alignment with their revised future state. - Lead strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies. - Serves as an internal information security consultant on IT projects/initiatives as assigned by the IS&S Security Manager. - Participates in new projects, as assigned by the IS&S Security Manager, to ensure that appropriate security controls are built into systems and applications during initiation and architecture. - Supports the Security Manager to coordinate activities of and participates in meetings related to information security. - Create and maintain the enterprises security architecture design. - Provide oversight and guidance during the creation and maintenance of the enterprises Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plans. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors. - Evaluate and recommend security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall IT security posture. Oversee the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with best practices. - Evaluate changes to the corporate environment for security impact and present findings to management. - Understand and interpret portal data across the globally deployed Client infrastructure, and acting as trusted security advisor to the Client. - Develop and maintain Client asset classification and categorization in the portal. - Maintain knowledge of current security trends and be able to clearly communicate them to Client. - Work with Client to assist with technical security escalations. - Keep Client abreast of problem status, set clear expectations, provide timely follow-up to Client, and independently handle challenging Client situations on a daily basis. - Maintain knowledge of outstanding development issues and communicate development roadmap to Client as appropriate. - Conduct web portal training for Client team members. - Provide feedback for service enhancements from Client. - Provide the customer with weekly reports focusing on actionable information as it is discovered. - Provide Ad-Hoc reporting as critical high risk findings are identified and require immediate remediation. Description/Comment: - On-site security resident during normal Client business hours. The Resident will provide technical support to Client team as needed. - Duties also include conducting onsite security interviews that will assist in building a comprehensive multiyear road map for the customer team. - Provide assistance and guidance for other information security projects related to Clients security objectives and programs. - Resident will advise Client on current security trends, risks and vulnerabilities. Resident will provide technical security assistance to the Client team. - Responsibilities also include direct communication with high level Client executives and Client security professionals. - Security Architecture and Project Manager will also perform two core functions for the enterprise. The first is overseeing the project of the enterprises security solutions. The second is ensuring compliance to enterprise security governance through involvement with Applications, Project, and Infrastructure teams to both share and provide guidance to ensure that solutions deployed will achieve high levels of enterprise security.
