Microsoft Excel Macro to help schedule meeting across time zones.
Product Overview: The purpose of the product is to help schedule meetings with contacts on different time zones already input in the excel sheet and solve the problem of the time zone differences by proposing a common time. This product should be developed as a Microsoft Excel Macro. Product description: The product should enable to user to create a list of participants with name, email id and location (country). The macro should automatically assign the time zone based on the country. If there are multiple time zones within a country like Australia, US or Russia, the user should be given a choice in GMT. The correct values will be between UTC−12 to UTC+14. The user should also be able to set the default time zone. There should be two fields called “Meeting Start time” and “Meeting End time”, where the user should be able to enter a start time and end time (0800-2000 hours). These times should be the local time based on the default time zone of the user. The user will then select the participants who are required for the meeting. Once all the required participants are entered, the user will click on the “check availability” button. The product should evaluate start and end time with the different time zones of each participant and then check if the meeting request is within the acceptable working hours for all the involved participants. The product should evaluate the user entered local time and compare it with all the time zones of the participants. The product should give two options after processing: A common time based on its evaluation of all the participants should be shown as “recommended common time”. (OR) “No acceptable common time”
