Required Qualifications for Oracle DBA positions - 10TB experience required · Usage and deployment of Oracle technologies (ASM, OEM/ Grid, RMAN, Partitioning, Data Guard etc.) in production environments. · Experience in administering Large Databases (> 10TB) which are fast growing with structural and data changes and having requirements of 24/ 7 uptime. · Perform following Database activities efficiently like Configure, Upgrade, Patching, Migrating, Cloning, Storage allocation, Security related tasks etc. · Familiar with Raw Logical Volumes and Oracle Managed Filesystems. · Practical application and expertise of Backup and Recovery concepts. · Systematic resolution of Database problems using AWR, Oracle Performance views and Oracle Internals. · Cost Based Optimizer SQL tuning. · Worked with Oracle Support Services to resolve issues and familiar with Oracle's escalation procedures to use as needed. · On call support maintenance for production databases. · A working knowledge of the UNIX operating system to include security, scripting and utility functions. Desired Qualifications · A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or closely related field. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. · Five years experience working with Oracle in a UNIX environment. · Three years experience in a multi tier web application environment using J2EE would be preferred. · Database Administration for Cerner Millennium clinical database would be a plus. · Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate and Microsoft SQL Server would also be a plus.
