PMO Project Manager Lead . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Position Description: Oversee the PMO for a highly complex, large scale, strategic IT initiatives - SCAL Medicare Advantage, HIPAA Security Compliance, Claims, and KP HealthConnect Investment Project Reporting Activities include coordinating with Project Managers the delivery of multiple projects, developing cost benefit analyses for multiple programs, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program statuses utilizing dashboards, tracking resource usage across the multiple programs, adhering to project governance policies, and managing the financial concerns of the programs Be responsible for ensuring established PMO policies, system monitors and controls are adhered to and ensure successful management of the Compliance / Claims programs Ensure program and project staff sees the impacts and interdependencies between projects / programs to ensure initiatives meet the goal of the leadership team The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Must be able to utilize and effectively understand and communicate technical components (development and testing) of an initiative to business and IT stakeholders Experience level must be at 10-15 years A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred An Associate's Degree is required PMI Certified is preferred 3- 5 years of application development experience are preferred The Project Manager should also have knowledge of Claims Processing, CMS regulatory requirements, or HIPAA security compliance Knowledge of Revenue Cycle reporting and EPIC is also a plus The Project Manager must have some experience working on a complex, large scale project / program ($1M or more) 2-3 years of experience in MS Project or MS Project Server, or SharePoint Must be self motivated, well organized; and have strong innovation and facilitation skills Proven oral and written communication skills Excellent business presentation skills Excellent analytical skills The ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines including the business units The ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines The selected candidate must utilize standard project management artifacts and tools such as a MS Project to manage their projects via a project plan; create and maintain risk and issues logs, action items, project budget, communication plans, project organization chart, etc. Candidates with experience in healthcare project management, healthcare information technology and systems, and experience in Claims, HIPAA, or CMS regulatory projects implementations are preferred
