Lead Build/Release Engineer (Mobile) As the lead Build/Release Engineer for a small start-up business unit within our company, you have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and improve the quality of our technology. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a build infrastructure and encouraging good engineering practices to support our release process. Your strong technical ability and focus on repeatable processes will enable us to deliver builds on time. Responsibilities: • Improve and support the continuous build and release management effort • Manage the build system, including hardware and software administration (HW 70%; SW 30%) • Build and maintain tools needed during releases • Drive client and server product releases • Scrum environment; 2 week sprints Requirements: • BS/MS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent • Extensive experience in software engineering, release engineering and configuration management • Experience in mobile device environment is required (iOS, Android) • Skill with one or more scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Java, etc) • Experience with implementing and managing a continuous integration and build environment (Scrum model) • Experience using and administrating a source control system, and especially using Atlassian tools [Subversion (SVN), Bamboo, etc.] • Experience with these technologies/tools desirable: Puppet, JQuery, Posgres, Tomcat, Cruise Control, xcode, Cocoa • Experience with in Linux/Unix preferred • Cross-platform troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral • Experience working in a small, tight-knit team in a start-up-like environment • Self-starter and proactive at both identifying and solving problems in your domain • Able and willing to wear multiple hats and do whatever it takes to get the job done **If you re interested in this exciting Contract to Hire opportunity, please contact Kim Warner at kim.warner@modis.com
