A leading retail banking group in Bristol has retained Huxley Associates to urgently source an Assistant Finance Manager / Qualified / PQ accountant to join their Finance workstream on a 6 month rolling contract. Applicants will be accepted as part-qualified/ qualified accountants, and the successful candidate will be expected to do a bit of everything within the department (Balance Sheets, Stakeholder management, month end reporting etc) The candidate will also need to be immediately available. This is a superb opportunity to take a key role in the monthly accounting cycle, supporting the reporting and analysis of Direct Costs for a key customer-facing Operations area. You will provide key financial and management information / MI (including commentaries, analysis, and dashboards) in order to allow management to understand departmental performance; you will help to identify key emerging issues; and you will have the opportunity to inform key business decisions. You will be required to bring a strong numerical background and analytical capability to the role, and you will have a high-level of competence across Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel). This role will ideally suit a newly qualified or part-qualified finance professional with experience of SAP and Oracle General Ledgers, although qualified and experienced accountants will also be considered. Financial Services and / or retail banking experience is desirable.
