MS SQL BI Developer CPL Solutions currently have an urgent requirement for a Senior MS SQL BI Developer to work an Initial 4 month contract role for a client based in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will deliver solutions to the business stakeholders using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack. She/he must work according to Datawarehouse, Data Mart and ETL best practices using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 toolset. Key Skills Expert knowledge of T-SQL and SSMS: additional experience of other relational database technologies (Oracle/DB2/MySQL) will be considered Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries Ability to develop stored procedures and routines that perform well on large volumes of data Excellent knowledge of SQL Agent/Job scheduling Performance Tuning, eg Index Creation and Optimisation Good working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (2+ years) Good working knowledge of SQL Reporting Services (2+ years) Working knowledge of SQL Analysis Services Unit/System Testing and Data Auditing/Validation Experience in the full development life cycle of an enterprise Datawarehouse/mart adhering to star-schema design principles A systematic approach to development and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a small, highly focused team.
