Project Accountant An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a notable UK charity based in London, as a Project Accountant until March 2013. Responsibilities include: providing effective financial administrative and financial support to the charity's staff and external partners. Key accountabilities: Carrying out the financial administration element of the charity's programme. Implementing and being responsible for the charity's financial processes and procedures as per instructions. Maintaining effective financial records and files of all charity's transactions. Be responsible for the development and implementation of systems and procedures. Preparing forecasts and budgets and maintaining ongoing changes. Assisting the Accountant in the prompt provision of management and financial information services Working with budget holders/ managers to build departmental and corporate budgets Applicants should meet the following key requirements: Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW or equivalent or have AAT and exceptional experience· A sound technical accountant with advanced spreadsheet skills, strong analytical ability and knowledge of financial and management software tools. Experienced in computerised financial systems including data extraction and report writing - preferably SAGE. Experienced in controlling and reconciling payroll, bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger and accruals balance/ Experience of providing and improving financial services to customers.
