Contracts Manager
4 months contract with client in the financial Industry. Description This position is part of Global Goods & Services global category management function, which is intended to: -Maximize Company’s purchasing power, by developing and driving global category, supplier and global sourcing strategies, across the facilities management spend category to reduce total expenses and optimize leverage. -Establish and implement comprehensive and consistent category management methodology and plan. -Lead negotiations and implement large, enterprise-wide deals to maximize cost benefits. -Build strong partnerships with key business unit leaders to drive early engagement. -Provide deep & industry leading facilities management expertise, thought leadership and consultative insights around expense management solutions -The incumbent will need to be well-versed in consultative selling, professional persuasion techniques and a proven negotiator. -The successful incumbent will need to quickly develop relationships and position him/herself in an advisory role to best understand dynamic business requirements, identify save opportunities, analyze complex variables and create all-encompassing strategies that are both valuable and actionable. -This will require an individual with a strong understanding of supply chain management, facilities management operations and business challenges faced by key organizational stakeholders. -The ability to work across a broad range of sub-categories, regions and functions is imperative. Successful candidates will possess global familiarity, consulting expertise, and proven customer-facing experience. The incumbent should demonstrate mastery of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Exceptionally strong strategic thinking and planning skills, balanced with proven track record of delivering tangible results in complex, global, and matrix work environment. - Expertise in global strategic category management, particularly in all aspects of facilities management. Large scale consulting experience a strong plus. - Direct experience in leading complex negotiations, including understanding tradeoffs between strategic and financial drivers and contractual protections. - Outstanding relationship and communication skills with ability to collaborate and influence across levels with internal and external partners (including very senior executives in both sides) and across geographic markets. Proven ability to engage and maintain. - Effectively plan and leverage all available resources (i.e. – global performance management, procurement utility, etc.). Ability to lead cross functional project teams to develop, market and align conclusions with business partners - Strong project management skills with proven experience in successfully managing and executing multiple, large-scale initiatives. - Effective leadership skills and commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing a team of direct and, potentially, matrix reports. Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree (business management, supply chain management, finance desirable). MBA or equivalent preferred. External consulting experience with significant global projects a strong plus. - 3~5 yrs of extensive, broad-based category management experience, specifically, in all aspects of facilities management. A Contracts Manager with procurement exp is desired. A Juris Doctorate is a plus FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY -> Creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. -> Works with the Business in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. -> Works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. -> Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary.
