2nd shift position - 4pm to midnight. Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices. Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like. Configures systems to user environments. Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. Provide various levels of support for desktop and remote users-by phone, email, and desk side. • Tier 3 corporate support role (last man standing/buck stops here/you are the escalation point) • Assist users with software and application problems • Diagnose and repair PC hardware and software issues • Perform installation, troubleshooting of printers • Blackberry support/iPhones • Familiar with active directory, resetting passwords • VPN support/troubleshooting • Resolve software and application problems • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles • Knowledge of MS SCCM/SMS • Microsoft USMT/OSD/Task Sequencing • Windows 7 Enterprise experience providing user support • Technical knowledge of PC hardware, mainly Lenovo brand equipment currently • Able to work with MS Excel 2007 • Lotus Notes support/troubleshooting experience • Network printer support (both hardware and backend network/server side) • MS Office 2007/2010 support/troubleshooting • Good communication skills • Information gathering experience • ITSM Remedy ticket system experience helpful In addition to the prior Tier 3 skills, this person should be familiar with SCCM / Operating System Deployment/ Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and experience with creating images (wim) and task sequences. VBscript capabilities will still be needed for this position. The manager is looking for somebody with SCCM, imaging, and scripting experience - they need to be proficient in these skills to resolve issues in those areas.
