Our client, located in Hoboken, New Jersey, is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to perform the following responsibilities: Manage various infrastructure projects in a global environment in support of corporate application teams, including program management as required Develop and maintain quality program and project plans to ensure the successful planning, provisioning and delivery of projects. Track all activities against the plans providing regular and accurate reports to senior management, project office and client management, as appropriate Liaise with project sponsors, client teams and internal teams to manage expectations for projects and facilitate public relations for the program of work Ensure that comprehensive project quality and risk plans for projects of a complex nature are prepared and maintained. Motivate, monitor and control performance against plans Lead infrastructure projects, developing and maintaining resource plans for the staff involved, resolving resource conflicts and monitoring the deployment of individuals to ensure that they are contributing effectively while developing skills and experience Collaborate with client teams to define and validate technical requirements Ensures that IT resources are made available to undertake the agreed infrastructure projects and they are properly utilized and accounted for Monitor and report on the progress of infrastructure projects within area of responsibility Maintain an emphasis on the early identification and where possible, rectification of problems and deviations from schedule, including changes in requirements, especially where these have resource implications Ensures that projects are implemented in a coherent and consistent manner, liaising as necessary with client management to ensure that they are compatible with the organization's existing systems, infrastructure and strategic plans Work within organizations project management Qualifications Must have 10+ years experience with a broad range of infrastructure and IT operational project experience Technical project management experience with server, storage, Firewall, network and security provisioning and deployments, including disaster recovery environments Experienced with hosted environments, web Servers, load balancing, Firewall, DNS and database clustering Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with senior level management Proficiency in Project Management Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation. Example: PMI, PRINCE; other certifications will be considered an asset Example: Six Sigma, ITIL Proficiency in progress reporting methods and techniques; risk management methods and techniques; project management tools to assist in automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording (Examples: PMW, Mercury IT governance, Microsoft Project) Proficiency in project planning and control techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects. Examples: work breakdown structures, critical path analysis, earned value Relevant certification in project management and/or a degree in relevant technology
