Our client is currently seeking a Software Development Testing Engineer. The primary responsibilities for this role include the following: Build and maintain an automated test infrastructure for a multi-platform product Integrate with the software and operations teams to establish a continuous test and build cycles Establish processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports Work with other Software Developers, Project Managers and Operations to ensure the proper operation of the production environment During the development cycle, identify use cases and create test cases to validate software design via automated tests Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 2+ years experience in a test or development role as part of a product development organization which has delivered consumer oriented products Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python or Perl Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment Experienced in interacting and coordinating test activities among multiple teams Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to give presentations Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Expert in software quality and testing methodologies Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization Prior experience with Selenium and Subversion Development experience in a Linux/Unix environment Experience with test driven development and establishing unit test infrastructures Experience automating the validating of modern user interfaces and messaging infrastructures Experience with evaluating and integrating open source and in house developed toolsets
