A client of Kforce is seeking a Network Security Administrator. The Network Security Administrator is responsible for both wide and local area network administration including planning, coordination and execution as required by initiatives, with duties including but not limited to the following: Assisting Management in implementing and enforcing Network Security policies and procedures Planning and Implementing Security Solutions for Wireless Connectivity (Cisco/Motorola) Planning and Implementing Security Event and Information Management Solutions (SEIM) Planning and Implementing Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) LINUX/UNIX Scripting which include automating tasks and monitoring potential threats Configuring and Supporting Firewalls and Load Balancers (F5/FortiNet/Cisco/McAfee) Recommending Hardware & Software Purchases Understanding and performing packet capturing and analysis Ensuring Network Security strategies are utilized for new implementations Participating in all phases, from planning to implementation, of network infrastructure solutions in support of current and future business requirements Staying up-to-date on current and future network security technologies, capabilities and trends Developing and maintaining broad awareness of the hardware, software, and networking infrastructure components of the Strategic System Architecture Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stake holders The successful Network Security Administrator will have: BS/BA Computer Science, Business, Engineering 5+ years experience in supporting the implementation of complex business critical networks 3+ years implementing and supporting network security solutions 3+ year's direct networking administration responsibilities 2+ year's network security strategy and design experience Strong IT infrastructure knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN, NT Server, Firewalls/DNS/DHCP, High Availability Solutions Good Communication Skills - High degree of verbal and written proficiency Use and support of structured support and maintenance processes and techniques Knowledge and experience in a TQM, 6 Sigma, ISO 9000, or SEI/CMM environment preferred
