Our client, located in Falls Church, Virginia, is seeking a SAP a Virtualization Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide oversight and management of the Client's TEWLS production, test, and development environment in San Antonio Manage troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of incidents and recommend a corrective action Assist in overseeing the planning and execution of maintenance events during production maintenance window openings Review work products produced by USAMITC and the client's operations vendors to verify that they meet contractual acceptance criteria and make recommendations to the Government for acceptance or rejection; system architecture description, physical inventory lists, etc. Approve the Task Order Workflow (TOW) requests and monitor events to ensure actions occur as scheduled and are closed upon completion Support engineering initiatives to improve SAP services on TEWLS equipment, as required Perform engineering analyses to improve the use of virtualization services in San Antonio Respond to assigned DHSS Program Office Taskers, as required Conduct inventory control of the Client's centralized hardware and software Produce or review Lessons Learned/After Action Reports Monitor approved Lessons Learned/After Action Reports to ensure the Client's operations vendors are implementing the approved solution(s) Implement Information Operations Condition (INFOCON) policy requirements Participate in the implementation of Continuity of Operations (COOP) events on the Client's systems and applications Evaluate the Client's hardware and software maintenance support needs and provide recommendations on ways to improve the maintenance Assist in managing hardware and software maintenance contracts Develop and utilize standard operational procedures to ensure consistent, quality results Express, explain and report information and technical issues The successful SAP and Virtualization Manager applicant will possess the following requirements: Knowledge of computer networking technologies and associated networking hardware SAP management experience is required Prior DoD experience including DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) experience is required Server virtualization experience is highly desired Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must have knowledge of various computer platforms, operating systems (DB2 and Oracle), and associated hardware (Blades Technology) Ability to follow a detail-oriented approach to problem identification, decision-making, resolution tracking, and reporting to senior levels of management Ability to lead lessons learned/after action report meetings that result in the identification of root causes and process improvement plans Strong technical aptitude and the desire to continue learning about changes in IT operations management Ability to use solid organizational skills to prioritize tasks and activities based on urgency Ability to work and communicate independently with minimum supervision and exercise discretion Must have strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task Ability to develop, communicate and execute procedures Ability to understand and follow oral and written English instructions Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to 4 hours at a time Ability to sit for long periods of time and have mobility within the office Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds Education Requirement: A Bachelor's Degree and/or work experience required by contract labor category
