Salesforce.com Quality Assurance Test Analyst Rockville, MD ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position will work closely with all business groups and customers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required Create, maintain and/or augment test artifacts for assigned products including, test strategies, test plans, test cases, test conditions and test data. Execute necessary testing for assigned products with an emphasis on salesforce.com. Testing may include unit, integration, system, acceptance testing and/or other types of testing deemed necessary in the test strategy and test plans. Clearly document defects identified during testing into the corporate defect tracking tool. Follow up on defects that are not being closed within an acceptable number of days. Contribute to the development of test metrics. Contribute to documentation and stability of test environment. Identify opportunities for test automation (homegrown or via testing tools) to increase test efficiency and effectiveness. Stay current on best practices in testing and/or quality through online forums, magazines, conferences and/or by participating in local quality, testing or related organizations. Partner with Product Management and Developers to analyze trends in testing and contribute to the overall increase in quality for your assigned products. Provide validation testing during implementations of new products or product revisions. Escalate issues to the appropriate levels in the organization. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4 – 6 years experience with at least 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, Tester, related position, or a combination of education and experience. Experience in testing all aspects of salesforce.com project delivery is a must. Experience with automated testing tools (test management, regression testing, load/performance testing, test coverage, test data generators, defect tracking, etc.) is a plus.
