A major Oil & Gas company based near London are urgently recruiting a Finance Systems Analyst to work on a busy project for a 12 month contract. This role works under the direction of the Finance Systems Lead to provide regional and local Finance SAP R/3 Support for a number of UK companies. The role also provides Finance Systems support to the wider business community including the Supply Chain, Maintenance, IS and HR functions. The role requires to provide support across the following processes: Planning & Budgeting, Joint Venture Accounting, Financial Month-End, Quarter-End, Year-End, Financial Reporting, SAP Intro and Timewriting training. Responsibilities will include: Analysing user requirements and specifying enhancements and developments, Documenting issues and enquiries, Dealing with help desk queries and troubleshooting issues, investigating and resolving support issues and problems, giving guidance and solutions, running specific month-end processes & managing error reports, liaising with central SAP Support team in Calgary to roll-out new functionality, testing new functionality, enhancements and upgrades, setting up and running Audit queries and providing SAP training to Finance users & Auditors as required. The role requires someone with extensive SAP FI-CO experience. You will have a good knowledge of Upstream Oil & Gas business & accounting procedures and will be a qualified accountant or equivalent.
