Market news/calendar on a chart
Market news/calendar on a chart (PDF) exporter as a webservice. Description: This task consists of creating a simple application which will serve as an example to individual developers. Although limited & exemplary, the application must be fully functional. I will be available freely in the AppStore mentioned above, along with its source code on an open BSD-like license. All thanks to the independent Application Programming Interface platform allowing a secure connectivity to new FX platform called xStation (http://www.xfsol.com/broker-solutions/front-end-solutions/xstation) which gets more and more popularity among brokers, including XTB, xDirect etc. What is more, the released API enables to create autonomous software improving & extending functionalities already accessible through existing Desktop, Web & Mobile clients. The application will be connecting to the Broker’s transaction server through TCP/IP API using two bidirectional sockets. Socket 1, called RR-Socket will serve as a channel for request-reply communication for simple functions and Socket 2, called Streaming-Socket will serve as a channel for streaming subscription & streaming receival in case of frequently changing data such as market prices & order updates. The API packets are encoded in simple JSON, and are really straightforward to use. You will find the necessary specification attached. For development & testing purposes you will connect to a demo transaction server. Your goal is to create a web service, which will receive user credentials, log in to RR-Socket, get a list of symbols, let user choose a symbol, timeframe & tick period & produce a chart. The chart must contain the following data: • symbol OHLC (Open High Low Close) • horizontal date scale • vertical price scale • OHLC ticks for selected time frame & tick period (received through RR-Socket, via a simple JSON command) in the format of standard candles (red & white with black border) • News & Calendar data for selected time frame (received through RR-Socket via a simple JSON command) in the format of bubbles connected to the respective price candle by a line segment. Necessary functions: • Plot a historical market prices chart for a symbol, add points representing market news & calendar events • corresponding event description / news body should be connected to its point with a line, description/body contained in a bubble/box • Selection of instrument • Selection of time range • Selection of tick period (1m,1h,1d,...) • PNG export • PDF export • create a link to the chart for sharing There is no need for data processing – the API will accept all required parameters and the data you receive will be ready for presentation. Technology requirements & suggestions: UI must be written using HTML5 & JavaScript. There are no requirements for server-side logging or other operations, all important data is transmitted through the API. Your application will be hosted on our servers & maintained by our developers, there are no hidden costs. Please give your pricing. Feel free to make any suggestions, improvements or change requests – I am opened to negotiations.
