Charity Intern
National cancer charity Look Good...Feel Better supporting women with cancer through skincare and make-up workshops is looking for a Charity Intern. The Interns role will be to provide administrative and organisational support to the National Programme Manager and Programme Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the LGFB* workshops in 65 hospital locations nationwide. To also support the Office Administrator with the efficient day to day running of the office. The role requires a self starter with a pleasant and outgoing telephone manner and strong inter-personal skills. As the organisation is small, everyone is expected to help out in all situations, so a flexible attitude is a must. General IT skills are essential. This role will be offered for a period of six to twelve months. This is not a permanent position but daily travel and lunch expenses will be covered. Development: It is anticipated that the Intern will spend an amount of time each week shadowing the Executive Director, National Programme Manager and/or PR Consultant in order to gain general experience of new business approaches, sponsorship opportunities, fundraising, financial control and media activities. Through this they will gain valuable general business experience as well as a thorough understanding of how a national Charity operates. Keywords: Work, Charity, Volunteer
