My business is a web-based education and instructional resources for companies new to or looking to expand their work in the US government contracting marketplace. We provide a monthly newsletter, bi-weekly alerts on a subscription basis as well as provide customized training through the web and in-person events. We also provide consulting on all aspects of federal, state and local government contracting. Someone who can speak and write exceptionally well in English because they will have direct contact with customers and vendors as well as potential referral sources. College educated with at least an Associate's degree or equivalent. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers and potential customers who they contact. Detail oriented, focused on solving problems and accomplishing tasks correctly the first time Job Description: Your responsibilities: - Data analysis/entry into Excel, Word or other programs - Research using the Internet or other information databases - Outbound calling to clients, vendors or others - Social Media and blog management - Travel planning and coordination - Email management - Other miscellaneous tasks that can be performed online - Must be accessible, online and on Elance Work View during agreed-upon office hours - Research, vette, and gather bids or proposals from potential vendors and contractors - Prepare written correspondence in English of business and personal nature - Develop, Maintain, and Monitor calendar of tax filing deadlines, registration renewals, and other periodic requirements - Basic account management (bookkeeping for simple business checking account) Your qualifications: - Previous experience as an administrative assistant preferred - Broadband Internet connection - Strong understanding of Internet and online communication tools - Ability to multitask and take on multiple projects - Ability to meet deadlines - Strong communications skills and attention to detail a must - Prepare and edit articles to drive traffic to website - Build and maintain lists of contacts - Create content for and publishing newsletters and alerts - Background research components of new marketing initiatives or analysis of current marketplace - Research potential customers - Research competition - SEO and social media optimization - A complete Elance profile - References or an established reputation on Elance preferred Desired Skills: Admin Assistant Customer Service Data Entry Email Handling Email Keywords: Virtual Assistant
