Accounts Receivable Clerk
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the UK's leading supplier of educationally rich group tours, school ski trips and activity focused tours. Due to an internal transfer, they are recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk, initially on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2012. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the companies daily receipts and refunds as well as providing support at month end to produce bank reconciliations and import monthly revenue. Working closely with the rest of the Accounts team using your ability to build solid working relationships and excellent communication skills will be imperative in ensuring the timely completion of all areas of responsibility, which include: - Processing and recording daily receipts and client refunds in a timely and accurate manner. Running daily revenue reports, cross referencing to daily banking total to confirm all receipts have been recorded accurately. - Financial administration which includes transferring monies between bookings on reservation system and repeating the posting within Open Accounts, accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, import and export of data files from/to Open Accounts system. - The production and review of month end sales invoice reports from reservations system in to Open Accounts. To be successful in your application you need to be able to demonstrate the followings essential criteria: - Previous experience within an Accounts Receivable role which has included the processing of daily receipts, refunds and bank reconciliations. - Previous experience in running reports, exporting, manipulating and reviewing data out of systems into Excel. - High levels of attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately at all times. - Highly numerate and literate with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise your workload and manage your time in order to meet required deadlines. - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. The ability to use formula?s, functions, pivot tables, lookups in Excel is desirable. - Knowledge of Open Accounts system desirable Full time, temporary, contract to 31 December with possible extension Keywords: Accountancy
