A 3 month contract opportunity has become available for a SQL Server DBA to work for my client based inGlasgow. Reporting to the Manager of the Database Team, you will be responsible for: * Ensuring optimal performance and support of the MS SQL Server environments * Assessing user access, data integrity, application security and system recoverability of SQL environment * Working closely systems managers regarding technical architecture, design, deployment and support * Assessing relevant technology components for use in the organisation * Providing a quality consultancy and support service as required by its customers * Reporting to the Database Manager on issues that are likely to impact outcomes * Other duties as required The successful applicant will have: * Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional - DBA 2008 (preferable) * 4+ years commercial DBA experience SQL 2000, SQL 2005 * 2+ years commercial DBA experience SQL 2008 If you would like more information on this role, please respond with an up to date CV and call Paul Henderson on 0131 243 4000 ASAP.
