Task: To find and collect social media data and then generate reports of Social Media mentions of my business - when mentioned alongside other target businesses.. like below... (My busness name) + Coca-Cola (My business name) + Nike I will supply list of business names to research / collect data on. Tools to use: Saved Google searches HootSuite (or Radian6 or similar) Search Twitter Search Facebook Search google+ Search LinkedIn Search online web forums Search Blogs The end goal is to produce a nice looking report of all the (positive) social media mentions so that can be presented to the target company to prove how connected the two companies (mine and theirs) are. A sample report might have the following pages Nice front page graphic with the two companies logos. Index Some web statistics about my business Positive sentiment Twitter mentions of their and my business Positive sentiment web forum mentions of their and my business Positive sentiment Facebook mentions of their and my business Positive sentiment LinkedIn mentions of their and my business Any other positive data that you might suggest.. Etc The reports need to be nice looking from a graphical standpoint and be easy to replicate each time a new report is made. I suggest we start with one or two company names to see if enough positive data can be gathered. If successful, this can be an ongoing, continual working relationship to generate reports. Important note: As Twitter only has a 90 days backwards search capability it may take time to gather mentions. Automated search / mining tools will be essential for these reports.
