Assistant Bid Manager 12 month contract
Assistant Bid Manager My client, an international construction firm specialising in the public sector are looking for an Assistant Bid Manager for a 12 month contract. Working within the business development division you will be responsible for supporting the bid director and bid managers in the overall management and coordination of the bid process across all sectors, both UK and internationally. The Responsibilities: · To manage a centralised monitoring, control and reporting system for bid team activity - including programme timetables, bid document control, bid text collation, recording of bid correspondence to and from stakeholders and maintain progress reports · Support the Bid Manager(s) in the overall co-ordination and submission of bids · Liaise with group team members in bid development stages, ensuring familiarisation and compliance with client requirements · Preparing, editing and proof-reading tender documents · Manage final bid document preparation · To be a first point of contact for consortium team members and client teams · Work alongside the Bid Manager to fully engage with the client and develop a close relationship so as to better understand their needs and requirements to affect the course of the project · Work with the Bid Manager to fully understand the risks of the project and control the transfer of those risks and working with the Commercial Manager deliver a commercially viable solution · To conduct bid project research.Undertake additional research activities to support the growth and the business and the development of viable bid options The Candidate: · Experienced in providing project support at a senior level. · Proven record of working with a team to achieve a successful result (such as a financial close or similar) / an understanding of process driven work accomplishment · Experience gained in either the, construction or property industry · Excellent organisation skills – structured , disciplined approach, able to multitask as working on several projects at one time · Ability to meet deadlines, and influence others to meet them too · Effective team player · Ability to work independently and proactively – self-starting, confident in decision making when appropriate · Strong and confident communicator, at all levels · Ability to prioritise and balance requirements between internal and external team members · Interested in role diversification to assist in non technical areas of the bid if so required. · Strong MS Office skills Successful applications will be contacted within 48 hours.Due to the high volume of response for this position, candidates without the essential skills and experience should assume they have been unsuccessful if not contacted within 48 hours.
