Our client is currently seeking a Systems Analyst in San Francisco with healthcare provider experience. This person will be representing the business on the impact of the Network Management team. The Systems Analyst in the IT Provider Network Management group provides IT technical expertise to our Provider Network Management business partners in order to deliver and support technical solutions that enable and enhance business processes. The successful candidate will be able to access information quickly, synthesize viable solutions and articulate these solutions to technical and non technical staff. The role requires that this person possess the ability to lead and influence diverse business and technical teams through conceptual ideas to development and validation of the solution implementation. Responsibilities: * Conduct tactical scheduling * Work with the business units to gather information on enterprise system reporting * Conduct process needs assessments, information analysis, and cost/benefit analysis in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Prepare technical artifacts to assist in problem analysis and recommendations for solution * Understand business process complexity. Recognize the implications of changes in business strategy. Assess business implications of the application of technology to the current and future state business environment * Formulate/define system scope and objectives based on business needs. Analyze, evaluate and document existing or proposed systems and system/ business requirements/designs * Accurately translate business requirements into system functionality. Review business requirements and develop and/or review technical designs for accuracy and thoroughness * Lead technical teams on tactical efforts. Provide project oversight and coordination of IT resources and external vendors * Oversee the development, preparation, and execution of test plans, test scenarios This candidate will have a high degree of interaction with business users - understanding and accurately translating their needs into data and system technical artifacts. This role requires a high degree of independent work effort and a collaborative spirit. Education/Requirements: * Experience in Healthcare provider background * Able to conduct Project execution and collaborate with Project Managers * Bachelors Degree or equivalent related work experience * IT Systems Development and Analysis 5+ years * Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills * Technical Writing and illustrative solution articulation * Must be able to think and perform independently with a minimum of direction or supervision and to adapt quickly to shifting and /or competing priorities * Experience being able to gather requirements and work with the business on data manipulation, reporting, data mining, and analytics tools (SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc.) * End user management skills - good at managing productive user relationships * Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in an organized manner * Project Management/Oversight - Small ($10k to $100k) to medium ($100k+ to $500k) projects * Working knowledge of the Health Care Insurance Industry and experience with information and systems supporting Provider Network Management is a strong plus * Knowledge and experience with SDLC as well as ITIL standards, PMLC & Agile practices from an analyst perspective (i.e., delivery of artifacts) * Ability to create artifacts that speak to Executive Management, Business Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Technical Management and Developers - often same information in multiple formats * IT application design/development is a strong plus
