Job Description: The Application Systems Engineer (ASE) is part of the Business Intelligence (BI) team in Wealth, Retirement and Trust Technology. This resource will be responsible for designing & developing the report objects required for specific BI projects. The ASE works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops and prepares reporting solutions. Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs. Participates in the overall systems testing. Supports the implementation of the application into production. May provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff. The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to: · Interpret business rules and develop, test and implement report objects that support the business requirements · Analyze and work with users to resolve any issues within report objects · Work as a Subject Matter Expert in reporting; help the production support team resolve the production issues Requirements: · 6 or more years of report development experience in a data warehouse environment · 2 years experience using OBIEE 10g/11g · Experience across multiple RDBMS platforms (i.e. IBM UDB DB2, Oracle and Teradata) · Understanding Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts and best practices · Prior experience interacting with users to define requirements · Strong communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills. · Ability to prioritize, track and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. · Experience with financial services or brokerage firms Preferred: · OBIEE 10g to 11g upgrade experience Keywords: Reports Development
