QUALIFICATIONS: 5-10 years of experience Strong C++ and Unix skills Experience with Java and scripting language experience (Perl, etc.) Solid understanding of hardware, software, and network monitoring concepts. Understanding of HTML, XML, JavaScript Strong debugging and unit testing skills Strong verbal and written communications skills DESCRIPTION: The leading internet infrastructure-oriented company at Reston Town Center is looking to add a software engineer to assist building its premier DDOS and monitoring functionality. Strong C/C++ skills, knowledge in advanced socket programming (server-side and large scale) and TCP/IP along with BSD or Linux experience, multi-threading experience, networking (i.e. TCP/IP and DNS) and Kernel internals experience is needed. A talented group doing relevant work on a contract to hire scenario. A six month contract with a right to extend is likely.
