Project Manager Our client is a law firm, and part of their business is providing legal services to in house counsel (placing attorneys at client sites). A newer business unit is managing client services at our client's site (attorneys and legal support professionals, contract management, post M&A work, discovery, etc.). They are doing project management of the work brought in through current staff who are not PMs (have full-time jobs and are trying to do this as well). Looking for a generalist background. Experience with professional services would be a huge plus. Business process knowledge. eDiscovery or contract management tools a plus, but not required. Projects are typically 4 weeks to 6 months. Our client envisions having a PM over 2-3 projects that are in different phases. they are hoping to manage downtime to 2 weeks or less wants to keep them busy so that she doesnt have turnover. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex legal services. The project manager will also be accountable for end to end project management standards and methodologies. Requirements (background): PMO Experience 8+ years of experience as a consultant or project manager. Big Firm consulting experience. Proven history of delivering projects within budget and deadlines. Significant, previous client-facing experience at the senior executive level. Facility with MS Project and Excel. Requirements (skills): Clear and persuasive oral and written communication skills. Ability to improve and standardize existing project management policies, processes and methods, and take active role in designing sustainably scalable processes. Facility with metrics tracking related to the project management and implementation. Advanced resource management.
