Management Information Analyst Dudley Contract from 1st October 2012 to 25th December 2012 (May become permanent for the right applicant) £16.46 per hour or £18.44 if Self Employed £31,754,00 We are currently looking for an Information Analyst to work in Dudley . You must be able to cope with pressure and deadlines. You will also have experience working with HR date. You will also hold a degree or equivalent. Purpose of Job To provide Management Information to support the strategicdirection of the Directorate of Social Services, in conjunction with the Directorate Management Information Team and Human Resources Section. Must have comprehensive knowledge and ability to use computerised information systems effectively in particular, Mainframe systems, and Microsoft Office. Experience of collating, extracting, manipulating and analysing complex information in report format To provide Management Information to support the strategic direction of the Directorate of Adult, Community and Housing Services in conjunction with the Directorate Management Information Team MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. To analyse and collate Directorate Workforce Information both on manual and computerised systems and to produce regular reports from this information for the Directorate Senior Management Team, and Divisional Management Team as required. 2. To collateand analyse data required for a variety of statutory statistical returns e.g. Department of Health, The Employers Organisation & TOPSS and disseminate information to senior managers to aid the planning process. 3. To contribute Workforce Information to a variety of reports & surveys e.g. Social Services Workforce Survey & Sickness Absence Survey. 4. Provide information and specialist advice to assist in the delivery of a quality information service to managers, Human Resources staff, other local authority departments and outside agencies. 5. Toundertake the analysis of Workforce Information within the Human Resources Section and the Management Information Team. 6. To design, develop, and implement a process for gathering Workforce Information relating to our partners in the independent sector. 7. To participate in regular audits of Management Information, including the implementation of suitable quality assurance and quality control strategies to meet changing requirements. 8. To access and circulate up-to-date comparable Workforce Management Data from various sources to support Directorate Workforce Planning as required. 9. To contribute to a variety of meetings, including management meetings, team meetings and as required present data. 10. To build sound working relationships with team members, managers andother staff within the council and outside organisations, in order to obtain data and promote the production of information relevant to Social Services. 11. To contribute to and when appropriate, manage workforce information projects. 12. To contribute to the development of corporate Management Information systems together with data protection initiatives and assist in the training & development of system users. 13. To carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head of Human Resources. 14. To demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities. 15.
