Marketing Analyst
Job Order #: 3535947-30747-5115 Job Title: Marketing Analyst Job Location: Mountain View, CA Job Length: 1 year Rate: Market (W2 only, no agencies or 3rd parties please) Duties Principal Function: The Norton.com marketing team requires an individual who will analyze proposed site enhancements and improvements from the perspective of the customer through the lens of web commerce marketing. The analysis provided by this individual will, in broad terms, included some of the following: Description of business issue/opportunity needing to be solved A survey of the broader market space on how this type of issue is resolved by other organizations Proposed solution from a marketing perspective, not a technical solution Analysis of the financial impact, ROI, of the enhancement to the bottom line of Norton.com The impact of new features as they relate to the overall site and other features on the platform A recommendation of the new feature will be made in the form of an MRD for management's consideration. Secondary Function: The individual will interact with external partners such as members from ePM, PGM, eBiz and eDDS to insure that new feature enhancements are correctly communicated and executed according to the request. He or she will represent the marketing perspective to the larger eCommerce organization as it relates to marketing's enhancement needs. The role is to insure the final execution of enhancements truly meets the requirements of the marketing team. Tertiary Function: The Individual will intake new feature requests and maintain the "internal" marketing queue of enhancements. He or she will manage new requests or ideas as they begin to develop within the marketing team to insure that they are captured and process in a way that will insure success within the larger eCommerce organization, eASD management. This tertiary function is mean to maintain organization of proposed enhancements within the N.com marketing and not get miss managed in a separate track. Fourth Function General project management skills. The ability to define and manage a small to medium size projects. Upcoming projects requiring greater definition. Pilot - 1 to 1 by Adobe Recommendation tool Work with WebDev team to scope and develop BRD level requirements Skills Essential Skills Ability to capture ill defined requests and to convert them into concrete marketing requirements Ability to attach concrete financial numbers to proposed features and to defend them with data Ability to manage, prioritize and communicate to upper management the current and future state of N.com' enhancement strategy in the context of the site roadmap Ability to research and discover best in class web commerce solutions within the consumer security market space and beyond and to incorporate them into the N.com platform Understand all features of a site and how they interrelate to each other and their financial benefit A general knowledge of the eCommerce organization, its processes and best practices
