Major Responsibilities: Elevates, maintains, and is accountable for the quality of work and timelines of delivery across all web design initiatives. Creatively envisions, evaluates, and designs successful user experiences. Works with Web producers to establish creative vision for projects. Creates creative and engaging web experiences, including microsites, landing pages, e-mails, banners and web pages/websites. Develops user interface standards. Identifies ways to improve the user experience in the form of effective design solutions and new user interactions. Collaborates with developers to ensure design concepts are delivered according to concept. The ideal candidate for the Visual Designer position will have: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or arts related field. 5+ years experience in web design in an e-commerce environment. Previous experience with brand consistency. Significant experience with user-centered design processes and techniques. Strong knowledge of principles and best practices of information architecture, interaction design and internet usability including: wireframe development, page layouts and site flows. Demonstrated understanding of GUI design and intuitive navigation schemes. Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Flash and Dreamweaver is a plus. Experience designing for mobile platforms is a plus. Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and keep abreast of innovative design trends and technologies.
