Find mailing addresses on a webpage: no googling required - Data Entry U.S. Culture
We are web consulting company based in Toronto and one of our clients has asked us to compile a large number of addresses to use in the web application we are building. We would like to involve the Elance community in this project. Job description: We have a list of website URLs relating to specific companies. We require the main mailing address of the company and two other specific details. Here is what the job will entail for each company record: 1) Copy and paste the url of the homepage of the company (we will provide it) into your browser (eg. ) 2) Hunt around the site to find the "Contact us" page or their mailing address 3) Copy the mailing address details of the company and paste the information back in the spreadsheet (street, city, state, country in separate columns) 4) While still on the contact page for the company, look if there are other mailing addresses listed on the same page. You will not be asked to transcribe them- you will only be asked to count how many additional addresses there are beyond the one you did copy and paste. 5) As a final step for each record, you will need to copy the web address of the page you found the address on (eg. /contact/us/en/) 6) Repeat for the next entry in the spreadsheet Specific data for project: You will be asked to perform the above tasks for 400 records. We will be awarding batches of 400 to multiple contractors to help speed up the processing time. As further guidance for your bid, I'll tell you that when I timed myself, it took me on average 45 seconds to complete one record.
