JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client in Fort Knox is seeking a recent college grad to someone with 1 year of Java experience. The Java software engineer is responsible for the development, testing, and implementation of java web-based application systems. The developer will be using a variety of frameworks including Spring, jQuery and Hibernate. Applicant should have knowledge of object oriented programming, algorithm design, database systems and software engineering principles. Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript are preferred. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Programming with Java and other technologies. - Applying object oriented principles, designs and patterns. - Conducting analysis and design of user requests. - Collaborating with other developers to achieve success. - Knowledge of one or more of the following a plus: Spring, jQuery, XML, JUnit, Subversion or Maven REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Experience with object oriented design principals. - Creative problem solving abilities. - Ability to thrive in a team/collaborative environment. - Security+ Certification required (Modis will assist you in obtaining this certification) This position requires one to be able to obtained a Security Clearance so a thorough Background Check is needed should a candidate not already have a Security Clearance already.
